Hi, I'm Susie.
I'm a Welsh-born writer living in Brecon, creating contemporary women's fiction for women over 40 who enjoy stories about real life — the messy, brave and beautiful parts.
For twelve years, I lived in Tuscany, rebuilding my life after divorce. The hills, the stillness, the scent of jasmine on warm stone… Tuscany healed me, shaped me and eventually found its way into my writing.
It gave me more than a setting. It gave me a landscape for the things women carry, the choices we make and the unexpected turns our lives can take.
That landscape became Lago di Fiore, the fictional Italian lake at the heart of my Echoes of the Lake series, with its villas, villages and palazzos, and the women whose stories unfold there.
